My name is Andrew Bennett, and I am a music educator in the Western New York area. I am currently employed as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at Ithaca College and the conductor of the Ithaca College Trombone Troupe. I have earned bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Music Performance from SUNY Fredonia with an applied instrument of Trombone. While at Fredonia I earned proficiencies in all wind band instruments, studied conducting methods for over five semesters, served as principal trombone of Fredonia's two top ensembles, and was graced with honors in the fields of Music Education and Instrumental Performance. At Ithaca I am teaching four sections of secondary trombone methods, non-major lessons, working in the Instrument Repair Center, directing an Ithaca College Bell Choir, and playing principal trombone in the Symphony Orchestra and Wind Ensemble. I am also a recipient of an Initial New York State Teaching Certificate in Music and have taken all necessary workshops for said certification.
