My name is Andrew Bennett, and I am a music educator in the
Western New York area. I am currently employed as a
Graduate Teaching Assistant at Ithaca College and the
conductor of the Ithaca College Trombone Troupe. I have
earned bachelor's degrees in Music Education and Music
Performance from SUNY Fredonia with an applied instrument
of Trombone. While at Fredonia I earned proficiencies in
all wind band instruments, studied conducting methods for
over five semesters, served as principal trombone of
Fredonia's two top ensembles, and was graced with honors in
the fields of Music Education and Instrumental Performance.
At Ithaca I am teaching four sections of secondary trombone
methods, non-major lessons, working in the Instrument
Repair Center, directing an Ithaca College Bell Choir, and
playing principal trombone in the Symphony Orchestra and
Wind Ensemble. I am also a recipient of an Initial New York
State Teaching Certificate in Music and have taken all
necessary workshops for said certification. On this website
